D.C's squirrels

My friend came from Japan last week.
We did sightseeing in D.C and NYC for 4 days.
We did shopping and had lunch in Georgetown, we went to National Gallery of Art of Smithsonian to appreciate art, and we walked around The Mall and so on.
Though we didn't have much time, we had fun so much!
She said “D.C has a lot of green spaces, and architectural structures in each district looks unity, so D.C is very beautiful and clean!”
It seems she likes this city.
All right!! I’m glad!

Especially, one of the most interesting things for her was a lot of squirrels.
We have seen them hardly in Tokyo. However, though D.C is a city, we often saw them, so she was surprised and pleased!

They are lovely performer!

The Phantom of the OPERA

On Wednesday evening, I went watching ”The Phantom of the OPERA” at KENNEDY CENTER in Washington D.C.
This is the musical that I have wanted to watch for a long time.
My friend M gave me the schedule information. Thanks☆

This hall is along the river.

The hall looks more tasteful than I expected.

There is the bronze statue of the late president JFK.
It has great dignity.

The theater was crowded with people, so though the show is long running around the world, it’s still very popular.

The chandelier has effect to excite the audience.

Before I watched this show, I thought it was just serious.

But in fact, it has some funny, so I felt thrilling, enjoyable, and sad.
I was also aroused with the song.
Anyway, this show satisfied me!!

The United States Capitol

For the first time, my husband entered into the Capitol this week.

"Dome"

"The sight from Capitol"

"Corridor"

"The center of dome"

Corridors are elaborately decorated with wall and ceiling murals that include historical scenes, portraits, and maps related to the development and growth of the U.S.

"A mural of Abraham Lincoln"

My husband Said: That's awesome good!! It really moved me for the first time in many years. Capitol is like a museum and art gallery, there are lots of luxurious rooms, sculptures, wall paintings and so on.

Furthermore, we are able to see the discussion concerning senate and house of representative. you should visit once in your life.

Ducks Tour

Yesterday, we went to DCDUCKS tour after school.
We rode a vehicle from Union Station, and we looked around DC.

Although the vehicle run on the road, it run on the Potomac River like ship.
Also, from the land to the water, it’s all in the same vehicle.
It thrilled us a little bit!

He guided us as conductor and driver.
He was as entertaining!

On the Potomac River
The sight is so good!
