The place is a traditional French bakery in Georgetown.
I chose this place because each of us took a trip to France last summer and love French cafe now.

"Iced cafe latte"
"Quiche of spinach"

"Camembert sandwich"

The baguette was like what I have eaten in France.

Below pictures are a ristorante where my friend NAO and I went in NYC last week.

We had dinner outside.
I felt comfortable because it’s not so hot.

The place is across Bleecker St. from the famous "Figaro Cafe" in Greenwich Village.

At first, of course, we had a glass of champagne.
Here's to our friendship!

Every food taste very good!

We chatted about our life a lot and enjoyed dinner very much!!

D.C's squirrels

My friend came from Japan last week.
We did sightseeing in D.C and NYC for 4 days.
We did shopping and had lunch in Georgetown, we went to National Gallery of Art of Smithsonian to appreciate art, and we walked around The Mall and so on.
Though we didn't have much time, we had fun so much!
She said “D.C has a lot of green spaces, and architectural structures in each district looks unity, so D.C is very beautiful and clean!”
It seems she likes this city.
All right!! I’m glad!

Especially, one of the most interesting things for her was a lot of squirrels.
We have seen them hardly in Tokyo. However, though D.C is a city, we often saw them, so she was surprised and pleased!

They are lovely performer!

My Favorite Place In NYC!

I love modern art, so “Moma” is one of my favorite museums.
However I had never been to “Metropolitan”.
And I went there last month because I thought I should see a representative museum in NYC.

This museum has a lot of precious art of all over the world.
In fact, there are some Japan's art and antiques which I had never seen.
But, I wanted to see modern art and looked for it.

At last, I found it! It was in a roof garden.

The roof garden is surrounded with green of the central park and skyscrapers, so I think the modern art is displayed at the best location. That's terrific!!

Also, this place has a cafe, so you can unwind over with coffee and cocktail. Such an awesome place!

The roof garden in “Metropolitan” is my favorite place now!

Let's speak!

Today, I attended a conversation club at a library.

This session is that the people of different countries and the American volunteers have a discussion together. Everyone can attend this.

Participants split into two groups.
Members of my group were three volunteers, three French women and me.
We talked about each culture of own country.

By the way, an American woman talked Japanese to my friends and me at a metro yesterday.
She may be a beginner in Japanese, but she attempted to speak Japanese which she knows.
I admire her!! What a great spirit!

So, today, I made positive efforts to speak English than usual.
As a result, I had fun so much!!
I will speak English as much as possible now and remind myself "Don’t be shy!".

STOMP In NYC

Actually, I was busy last month, but I will be able to have free time this month.
Goody! I’m going to write a blog which I love as much as possible.
At first, it’s about NY where I went with my parents last month.

We watched “STOMP” on off Broadway.

It seems this show was often featured on TV in Japan, so my mom was more familiar than me.
This show is just movement and doesn’t have lines.
So we were able to enjoy this show like native!!

Specially, I was impressed with a Japanese woman.
She is an energetic actress and looks cool!
Also, she is one of Japanese people that experienced the American dream.
I proud of her as a Japanese woman!!

My favorite seafood

A local food in MD is crab!
Last month, my parents and parents-in-law each came to my house.
I wanted to offer hospitality to them, so we went to "The Dancing Crab" that is a popular crab restaurant.
The specialty of this restaurant is hard shell crab with a little hot spice on the shell.

When we eat those, we need beat the shell with a wooden hammer.
(Does it look like a crab is dancing!?)
However, no problem! it’s easy because a waiter does demonstration of the way to eat, if you eat those for the first time.

Finally, we 4 people ate a total of 12 crabs! We were full stomach!!
Of course, that tastes yummy!!
Also, I think the price isn’t so expensive.
If you visit D.C. and MD, you should eat hard shell crab!
